It was likely a cost cutting measure and not a political move. Besides, all the locals have their minds made up already about what happened. Kinda sad.
Anyway, if they would invest in that space it would make a nice little tourist attraction near the valley. But I'm guessing they already told themselves it isn't worth it. Meanwhile Beaver Falls has done a great job with maintaining their space for recreation. But I digress.
Fort Ridgely is a neat place at least the last time I was there. Haven't been there since the golf course went away.
