    Emery Taylor leads the conference in interceptions and is 2nd in pass break-ups and is not 1st team defense. Strange. Also not sure how Rosenbrock is not on the 1st team.

    Very surprising a Mines guy is not OPOY also.

      Oliver probably would of had better numbers than Hovasse if he played in all 11 games. The starters only played more than 3 qtrs. in the CSU-P,Asuza, Dixie State and Chadron games. I think that's right without looking it up.

        I would imagine any discrepancies between stat rankings and all-conference teams are best explained by coaches voting based on their firsthand memory of the player... how much effort went into planning against him, what impact he had when they coached against him, what he looked like on film leading up to the game, etc. Also what they did in big games could mean something, IDK. Seems to happen pretty regularly to players on multiple teams.
