Aren't they trying to avoid conference match ups in the first round?

Yes, but it's a lower priority than reducing flights. If Mines is seeded 2-4 and CSUP is unseeded, they'd likely be paired if no other playoff teams are within 600 miles.

There are still a few potential playoff teams within driving distance. Missouri Western is within 600 miles of Mines, and Fort Hays State and West Texas A&M are within that distance of both.

Yeah right.. The nerds interior lines offensively and defensively kicked CSUP’s butt.. How fast people forget.

They did the same last year. How fast they forget indeed?

They certainly could play much better than they did, it's tough to beat good teams twice in the same year no doubt. Would be a good game though, Mines QB is a stud. Pueblo will have a few injured guys back within the next 3 weeks that have missed nearly most of the season. Have to win out for it to even matter though so we'll see what happens.

                Remaining games for 6-10
                6. TAMC 5-2
                West Texas A&M
                Permian
                Angelo

                7. Augie 6-2
                Concordia
                Winona
                Southwest Minny

                8. Sioux Falls 6-2
                Upper Iowa
                Kato
                Wayne America

                9. Winona 6-2
                Southwest Minny
                Augie
                Corcordia

                10. W Texas A & M 6-2
                TAMC
                Texas A&M Kingsville
                Midwestern

                So…….predictions TAMC finishes 7-3, Augie 9-2, USF 8-3, Winona 8-3, W. Texas A&M 7-4.

I see Augie getting in, USF would have to hope TAMC loses to W Tex A&M and Angelo and hope W Tex A&M doesn’t jump them.
Winona could get in with a win over Augie, which eliminates USF cuz Augie has head to head.

Please forgive the ignorance of a long-time lurker, but how does SR3 enter into SR4 calculations?

PS. I was at the Mines/Twolf game, and Mines really did dominate the line on both sides of the ball. If Twolves can’t upgrade O-line play and do something about Mines’ trips left/right formations, I don’t see how CSUP wins a rematch.

Did you watch the regular season game last year? Look at the stats if not.

Seeds 5-7 (road teams) no longer are limited to their region. They will travel the shortest distance to save the NCAA money.
