What actually happenedI wroteThe kicking game could be instrumental and that is a huge advantage for the Warriors. Taylor Groff is one the best kickers in Division II.

Cal had a goose egg on the board at halftime and although Hillsdale was leading by just 13, the Chargers appeared to be in command of the game. The Vulcan defense was hanging tough, but the offense had shown next to nothing. But the Vulcans stepped up big in the second half with three touchdown drives, the last of which gave them the lead in the final minute of the game. Hillsdale was controlling the line of scrimmage against the Cal O-line, but the Vulcans tightened up in the second half and gave Cody Schroeder an opportunity to find his rhythm. There is definitely work to be done with the offensive line and the running game, but this was an impressive win that took a lot of determination to pull out.

So there it is. 15 games in the books for week one. The results were a little mixed, but overall, it was a good weekend for the PSAC and I'm happy to say that I went 14-1 in my picks :)
