Shepherd (6-0) and Fairmont State (7-0) continue to pace the Mountain East Conference. Shepherd hosts Concord Saturday at noon, Fairmont State has a big meeting with UVa-Wise. The Highland Cavs are not a team to be taken lightly. They are having their best season since joining D2 (currently 5-2) and will probably be FSU's toughest test to date. Notre Dame College (6-1) is very much in the picture as well. They play West Liberty this weekend.

In the CIAA, Bowie State (5-1 against D2) is still pacing the north division due to their head to head win over Chowan (also 5-1 against D2). Bowie State has a huge match up with Virginia Union, Chowan plays ECSU. In the South, Winston-Salem State is the only team above .500. The Rams are 5-2 and will be in a good position for the playoffs if they win out.

The Northeast 10, LIU-Post remains the class of the league at 7-0 and Assumption is still chasing at 6-1, with the lone loss to the Pioneers. Assumption is at New Haven this week, Post will host American International.
