Absolutely bizarre last few minutes in Shepherdstown.
Jesuit absolutely sleepwalked through the whole game and trailed by as many as 20 midway through the second half before making a belated run.
Got the lead down to 10-12 points with just under 4 minutes left but - for some reason - started fouling to stop the clock with 3 1/2 minutes still to go.
I think Shepherd only took one more shot from the floor the rest of the way - it missed - but went something like 18-of-22 from the foul line in the final 3:30 to close out the win.
If West Liberty can pull off the win at Fairmont tomorrow - a big "if" since FSU has won 32 straight at home - the Hilltoppers would have a 3-game lead over the rest of the MEC with only 8 games left to play.
