The Youtube video of the brawl between LeMoyne-Owen and Lane College ... just a total embarrassment for both schools, teams and D2. As of today, 15 suspensions have been handed out.

This isn't even the first major incident this season. The Shorter v. FVSU game got called after a Shorter player got upended and dropped on his head/neck. The benches cleared and chaos ensued.

Man ... that's rough to even watch. Yikes.

The recent one ... pretty intense. That looks like one of those types of gyms with the fans right on top of the court. That's scary to think there were probably families there with young children. I'd suspect you could see some legal action taken on some of the players. An article said it's being reviewed. You can't act like animals and start a brawl ... if you do it in that environment on school property some of they should get assault charges.

From the New York Times:

Fifteen players have been suspended for their roles in a fight during a basketball game last Saturday between the Division II programs Lane College and LeMoyne-Owen. The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference also announced Friday that it would fine the colleges and their coaches an undisclosed amount.

The Memphis police are investigating the incident, which caused the game to be postponed.

From the recent one, I'd say whoever hit that guy with a chair will be prosecuted. It was at the beginning of the 2nd angle.

From the Shorter game, that was nasty to watch, but I don't think the guy was trying to hurt the player who landed on his head. He was trying to foul, but it didn't look like it was malicious to me.

It was crazy how quickly the fans got involved. Glad to see some may be facing consequences as well.
