Joe Mazzulla to resign at Fairmont State

It appears he is going to take a job with the Boston Celtics. Rumor that WVU assistant Ron Everhart will take over at Fairmont. They had a very good class redshirt this past season. Interesting development if it finalize out as planned.

I guess now we'll see who stays. Mazulla was kind of the younger, cool coach. Everhart is a dinosaur.

George Wilmore, the top assistant at FSU, could be in the mix. At any rate, pretty big shakeup in June. Everhart is an excellent coach but has had health issues lately.

He'd be an excellent hire if he'd want the job. I saw he's actually only 57 years old. He looks much older.

He got a raw deal at Duquesne.

Given the style he tried to implement and coach at Duquesne he seems like a perfect fit.

Perfect example why you pick the school and not the coach. Although I realize that sounds good but rarely happens.

I'm sure the players he signed at ND are thrilled with him leaving a day before July.

It is funny how quick they got this done. Impressive.

Consider Gannon took months and Clarion, well, finally found somebody dumb enough to take the job after 3 months of searching.


The day Gannon fired JR I posted on here they should have went HARD after this guy from ND. Of course it appears he was waiting for a better job.
