I looked on Verbal Commits today and everyone either signing or being offered in the MIAA is a 2 ? prospect is this the norm for most D2 players and conferences?. Is this the basic difference between a D1 and a D2 player.

Two stars essentially means the guy actually wasn't ranked, I believe. They just give them 2 stars as basically a default.

I've seen a handful of 2.5 star ratings, but everyone else has been 2 stars.

Chris Kendrix for the Mavs had a 2.5 star rating.

Originally signed at a D1 though, which probably is the default "unrated" rating for D1s. Just my opinion on how the system probably works.

As Sly and the Family Stone used to sing, "Everybody is a Star".

Quite likely. But Carlos Anderson was a 2-star.
I don't really care either way since D2 isn't really dealing with player rankings too often, outside of getting the best player(s) in the state of South Dakota at least ;) It's another off-season topic which is actually more interesting (IMO) than "Who's going D1? / Who should go D1?"

Hey Laker: For some of our favorite programs, the song even goes like this:

Marilyn McCoo & Billy Davis Jr. - "You don't have to be a star" 1977

I remember that. And like Slim Whitman, "I Remember You"

"I remember, too, a distant bell and stars that fell"
