Re: NSIC/MIAA in Mankato
I might be at both Friday games. Saturday the Mavs host Upper Iowa at noon in football, so I'll be at that across Stadium Road. Maybe stay for the second game if I'm not worn out, frozen or soaking wet.

Jake's Pizza- right down Stadium Road. The first time that I was there was 1970. Good thin crust pizza.

Pagliai's Pizza downtown.

Charley's- if you want fine dining this is my favorite place.

Bradley's is right across the street:

So is Weggy's:

Zanz's. Not fancy at all, but if you want something different, try their cheese chilito. I've never had them anywhere else that could compare.

There's a ton of food places in town, I've only sampled a handful. Like laker mentioned, Weggy's is located in the University Square which is walking distance from the Taylor Center. They probably have the best "Mavericks" atmosphere out of any place I've been too.
Other than that, I've had Rounders, Ummies, and Pagliai's - all of which are located down on the famous Front Street in downtown. I only went to Pagliai's because I'm an unashamed Green Day fan, but the pizza was pretty good. Rounders and Ummies are sports bars with the typical fare and I like both of them.
That section of the city has a ton of offerings though - one of the many things I like about Mankato. I have yet to sample most of them.
