Hays has the Lady Hornets number in the regular season. Saturday was the third straight regular season loss in Gross by Emporia State. Of course there was the regional win in 2015 that breaks that string up a bit.
If ESU had won on Saturday the MIAA would have had the #1 team in the nation in football, men's basketball and women's basketball this week.

Pitt Women have been so close to breaking through the last few years. I hope they can keep it up.

I think when Arkansas Tech plays at their best, they can compete with even the Emporia's and Pitt's of the region. Unfortunately, the toughest thing about this year's Tech squad is that they've been extremely inconsistent. They played really well in the fourth quarter and OT of the Drury game. That team looked like it was capable of winning the region. Unfortunately, they have some games (like the SWOSU and the SNU games) where they look like a shell of their former selves.
