You are there. By sheer talent the Lions are obviously better than anybody in the league. You guys have 5 top line starters and a deep and talented bench. Anything but a conference title would be a surprise.

It doesnt make any difference what anybody has done in the past. NW has basically turned over their rotation and have 3 freshmen getting 80% of the minutes in the backcourt. That is a tough ask for them to hold up in a 19 game conference grind. It will boil down to protecting the home court and winning tough games on the road.

Missouri Southern will never catch Northwest in sandbagging.

NW has no answer for Martin in the post. Tharp gets nod only on experience at point guard. Clark gets nod at other guard spot. I think NW is better at F position. Coaching is even. MSSU has won last 2. MSSU is team to beat.

MSSU was 2-0 vs Northwest last year. Our team has gotten better. Northwest lost Pitts and Ndow, so did they get better too? If they did, that's impressive.

Several games to play before we finally meet in Maryville around the first of February. But it should be another great battle in this competitive rivalry.

Kind of a love fest between Mo Soutnern and NWMS. I guess the rest of us are playing for 3rd.

Ah, Btech#3 enters the sandbagging contest!

Washburn is looking legit so far this year too. At this point WU, MSSU, Northwest and Pitt have positioned themselves nicely in both the league and region races.

Speaking of Pitt, if there was a ref with any nads, Pitt would have gotten beat by UCO last night. They swallowed their whistle on that last play. Pitt guy clearly travelled (maybe twice) before he launched that desperation heave. UCO got jobbed.

                      Re: Missouri Southern

Actually, those of us paying closer attention know how much you (Northwest Missouri) lost, and are impressed with the Bearcats start this season. No surprise that you're playing well, but surely few of us would've predicted an undefeated run into mid-December.

Coach Boschee has our guys playing with confidence. Most of us now have a bit of a lighter schedule (a couple of games spread over three weeks), so it's a chance to sort of heal and rejuvenate but the key is to come back in January and pick up where we left off.

That confirms, 100% travel before he ever dribbled. Possible additional travel with the high dribble as he got his feet ready to launch the shot.

                            Re: Missouri Southern

That definitely was a lot of feet movement and distance traveled for only 1 dribble.

Thanks for providing video clarification. Obvious travel before the dribble and one could argue a travel after dribble too.

I worked in the MIAA for 15 years as a basketball official and prior to the dribble was definitely a travel. The end was legal. But definitely got by with the travel after receiving the ball from the throw in.
