Augie wins 74-69 despite losing LeBrun in the first half. Huge FTs and minutes by Tiedman, Riemersma did some damage in the second half after Schaefer carried the team in the first. Thats a gutsy W to start the season

After being fouled on a fast break, two Dragons landed on his foot/ankle. He was on the sideline in a boot during the second half.

Looked like some Moorhead guys landed on his leg/ankle as he was fouled from behind

Might have been because it looked like he followed through and pulled LeBrun down across the neck/shoulder after the block attempt. But it also looked like the MSUM kid was getting hit by his own player.

Refs went to the replay so should had good look that nobody pulled Lebrun down.

Augustana executed better down the stretch. Couple big offensive rebounds. Dragons missed their fts down the stretch. Expect another close one tomorrow.

Who would've guessed that Walthall's (somehow successful) defense was that he was yelling at his player, not the ref? Then again, if what he was yelling at his player was offensive enough to warrant a technical from a ref, maybe Walthall should clean up his language to his players.

Guess we need to start calling him Thibs....

Great first game for UIU 107-84 win over SCSU. All 5 starters in double figures - a little sloppy by both teams the first 8-9 minutes, but then UIU went on a little run sparked by some great defense. Lucas Duax and Joe Smoldt with 17 each, Hilmer with 16 and 7 assists. Need to carry that same defensive energy over to tomorrow!

Wolves looking a little rusty, certainly a more talented team but right now that seems to be what they are relying on, which could end up costing them. Lazy closeouts, no one boxes out. Parker has had some great plays including an a big chase down block (which we didn't get to see because the camera didn't catch up to the play). All tied at 18, seven minutes to play in the 1st.
