Missouri Western Women take down D1 Missouri State

Went into Springfield and came away with an exhibition win over Mo State...fun game...tight the entire game until late when Western pulled away to win 65-57.

Mike McClure was mentioning this game at the end of the MOSO game last night. Big win for Missouri Western. You guys will be a handful for everyone this year. Sounds like your daughter had a great debut last night. I'm ready for the season to start. We will be in KC next weekend for the men's Central Region Challenge at Municipal Auditorium. Looking forward to a fun two days of basketball!

She's done a nice job out of the gate...hope she keeps it up. I think I'll be at the NW game on Friday afternoon, but Saturday I'll be at the last home FB game and both nights I'll be at the Civic Arena for Western WBB! Definitely ready for the games to start counting!

Nice w for the griffs. Mo st is no slouch. I think the last d1 win was over umkc. Umkc is a marginal d1 win at best but I remember that being an ass kickin really. Maybe not. I Need to look up the box score.

I'm happy she has come out of the gate playing with confidence...she's damn tough when she plays like that. Hell, she played 31 minutes last night...don't think she's played that many minutes in a game before.

Whoa now, let's not get carried away! :) I told her if they win a Natty with her on the team, I'd wear that gear! I told the team that when we were in Greece...I'm kind of a motivational genius! :)

She's a sophomore in eligibility...in her 4th year in school! Covid year and a red-shirt transfer year!

Team got mad at me for showing up to the NW-MW football game tailgate in Bearcat Gear...had to explain to them it was Football Season...not Basketball Season! :)

Oh I understand that. It a whole other sport. But… for women’s bball you might have 1000 posts the next few years. Gonna need those women’s basketball go griffs to have a little conviction.
