There might be 30 people at the Crookston/St Cloud game. And that’s counting the women’s teams.

They must have a decent season ticket base because they announced 401 in the box score, and there was no way there were that many.

On another note, I saw Minot was undefeated but also the worse SOS in the region, 13th in KPI in the region, 79th in the country but somehow top 25.

NSIC I think has 6 really good teams.
Ok, I'll bite, not to disagree but because I've only watched a few squads this year and I'm legit curious.

Mankato, Moorhead, and Southwest seem obvious inclusions on the good teams list. Maybe Minot, despite your earlier sentence?

Concordia?? Good results for them thus far, but they were very bad last year so they must have some new players. I haven't watched them.

Duluth seems down at least relative to recent history, Augie seems way down, Bemidji has had a rough start. Northern, OMG, feel bad for Saul, it isn't working.

Winona and Wayne kind of looked like solid upper middle of the pack teams to me last weekend. They could each beat anyone on the right night when things go well, but both have some obvious problems (Wayne: consistent scoring, esp in half court. Winona: good starters but no bench help, live and die by the 3 pointer).

Or maybe you meant to include USF. Possible the Concordia home blowout was just one of those weird nights where everything went wrong? Haven't watched them yet.

Concordia is good, and not just because they beat us. They had a number of injuries last year that derailed their season. Kimmons is probably the best player in the league right now. And they did add a D1 transfer from Northern Kentucky in Cade Meyer, he's decent.

No, just knew him a bit back in the day when he was a GA here in Wayne. I'd have said the same for most people who passed through here... Obviously he is not going to win a popularity contest in Aberdeen these days. The standard is high there, as it should be given the school's basketball history.

Hey, Meyer was from Wayne, and Sather spent some time as a GA here as well. As Meatloaf would say, 2 out of 3 ain't bad...

Crookston has a higher standard than how far this program has fell. This isn't a "down year" We are talking about. To inherit what he did and end up with a squad that may not win more than one game all year is an impressive accomplishment. I have no idea how this could happen. It's just remarkable
