Very clunky game by both sides, but MSU put a run together and it's now 60-54 heading into the fourth and starting to pull away. Still some time yet though.

When I saw Southwest beat my BSU Beavers last month, I was very impressed by their ball-denial defensive effort, especially in the first half. I have not been following the Mustangs much since then, but has that defensive prowess dissipated, or was that BSU game atypical? I expected that quality defense to carry them through better as of late. What have I missed?

defense has been good not great. we have missed too many shots some games

disappointing season as I expected us to battling for the title. we are now eliminated.

disappointing that I expected us tho get an at large bid even if we finished 2nd or third.

now we need to win the conference tournament which is certainly possible still.

biggest concern.--- lack of consistency except from Braaten and Shaw. too many guys who we need 10 getting 3 etc. it has been an up and down year and we now need to get hot and win in Sioux falls

Fun fact about last night's game - it's the largest margin of victory against Augustana in school history. The previous record was a 15 point win in 2018. Pretty big morale boost heading into the final Saturday and tournament.

SMSU accidentally logged the game in the record books as haven taken place 100 years ago too. Funny.
