Looking at Bellarmine. They have 2 players that are not freshman recruits. Maybe we should switch our strategy and recruit 4 year players.

Could not agree with you more. Transfer is easier route in short run.

What do we need for next season, recruiting wise?

We lose Bosley, Jacks, Foster, Dersksen, and Stanford. Assuming everyone else is coming back that is supposed to be.

We already know we are gaining Dakota Quinn (6'8" D1 transfer PF), Colton Elkins (6'7" RS-F PF), and Daniel Dzierzawski (6'0" D1 Transfer PG).

Verbal Commits shows that we have recently offered 6'0" PG Corey Tillery who is transferring from D2 Armstrong State and is from the same town as Jordan Jacks (Douglasville, GA). We also have an offer out to a Juco SG Nate Hansen from Vincennes University (from Evansville) which USI has also offered.

With the guys we have returning and/or already signed for next season it's apparent we need to focus on the backcourt. We should have plenty of depth in the post, so we need to focus on getting some shooters to complement Hatton (who I see as being one of our main scorers next season now that he's not playing behind Bosley & Jacks).

Just looking through the schedules that are in the drop down list on the schedules page on the athletics site, we went 8 years from 2003 to the 2010-11 season without a tournament win (several of those we weren't even in the tournament) including Harper's last year (or two?) and Lee's first several. The year we played Bellarmine in the regional finals would have been 9 years. So no, it's not a record.

In 2012 KWC played Bell in the regional finals. It has been five years now without a Regional tournament win. Is that a record for the program?

Does anyone know why Sam Williams was suspended? I think the administration owes the fans and alumni an explanation. They can say that it's an internal matter, but if the athletic department pulls another act like this again, the support for the basketball team will go much lower.

High quality scheduling is crucial for next year. If padding your win record is all they care about, they need to realize how many years KWC has gone without a NCAA tournament win as of late. Maybe, the college just doesn't care anymore.

You won't be better but Bellarmine will. This should eliminate the 9th banner preseason talk.
