And...if you think beating AB, TNU, King, and Truman State was a walk in the park, you would be mistaken. We always get everyone's best shot at the Sportscenter. It will be more competitive this season.

If I remember correctly Wesleyan beat USI and Bellarmine the last time they played them at the Sportscenter. You can only play OOC teams that will play at the Sportscenter. There will be some great games in my favorite arena this season. God Bless America!

I do not post this with any animosity, just looking at the facts.

Yes, KWC has a 48-game home winning streak. That's very difficult to achieve because any team can win on any given night. But consider the teams that are included in this streak and their records for those years. Excluding exhibitions against lower divisions and Oakland City, who we all know plays a non-D2 schedule, KWC has played a total of 14 games against teams with winning records (51%) during that streak (almost 3 years). They've played 2 games against teams with records better than 75%.

So, does the streak exist because the SC is impossible to win as a visiting team (as some of the KWC posters suggest)? Or does the streak exist because KWC should have won all of those games? That being said, USI has had the same issue with non-conference scheduling - lots of easy teams. The real difference is that we play several 75%+ teams in conference each season - and usually lose one or two. That's why we don't have a 48-game streak.

    Alderson-Broaddus x 4 (16-14, 16-14, 18-10, 22-7)
    Auburn-Montgomery (7-19)
    Bluefield College (EX) (22-14)
    Brevard x 2 (6-22, 12-17)
    Cedarville x 3 (13-16, 14-15, 13-16)
    Central State x 2 (11-15, 18-12)
    Davis & Elkins x 4 (13-15, 12-17, 12-17, 6-20)
    Fort Valley State (6-23)
    Hillsdale (15-12)
    Illinois-Springfield (11-18)
    Kentucky State x 2 (10-17, 9-18)
    King (25-7)
    Lees-McRae (16-15)

    Michigan Tech (11-15)
    Northern Michigan (7-19)
    Ohio Valley x 3 (2-24, 8-19, 9-16)
    Oakland City x 3 (20-8, 21-5, 19-7) (non-NCAA2 Scheduling)
    Paine (7-22)
    Malone x 2 (14-13, 14-13)
    Salem International x 4 (2-24, 2-24, 4-22, 3-21)
    Southern Wesleyan (3-25)
    Tiffin (11-17)
    Trevecca Nazarene x 4 (8-21, 16-15, 16-15, 13-15)
    Truman State (22-10)
    Winona State (11-16)
    Wayne State (16-10)

    [QUOTE=alumnifan;2090292]How many have won 48 straight?[/QUOTE

The streak would be the same if they'd played in the boro YMCA gym.

Early in the season if you lay an egg vs Kimbo Dean it won't matter how many you win at SC. It will mean another half azz season for sloppy.

He didn't want to leave home. That's not unusual for a lot of kids who are afraid of hard work.

Colton Elkins chases down a deer. Kills it with his bare hands but he dare not touch a basketball.

    Just a little embellished.

    Re: Kentucky Wesleyan Basketball

The goal for Kentucky Wesleyan basketball is to compete for a national championship every season.

Wesleyan has two academic years left in this decade. They have played in a national championship game/games in the past six decades. Kentucky Wesleyan winning another national championship during the next two years would be among the greatest stories ever in NCAA College Basketball.

It doesn't look likely. Hopefully, that is an incentive.

    Re: Kentucky Wesleyan Basketball

It is posted without current photos and no photos from incoming players. Two surprises. The scholarship front line will go 6-9, 6-9, 6-8, and Colton Elkins is not on the team. I will recheck that to make sure. I'm getting old.

No surprises really as far as players. We'll see how they do. The athletic department as a whole is feeling some pain thus far this academic season.
