I agree. There is no way a Truman or Indy should be out and us in. I get the silly points system but our best wins happened 2 months ago. It's time to call it a year and just wait out 2 more crappy years under Wod.

If we were to make the tournament losing 6 of our last 7, most in a pathetic way, I would lose all faith in the DII process!

If Uindy wins, this will be the final game of the Watson era and thank goodness. What a train wreck the end of the season was. Plauyers tried hard today but no screens to get people open and this against an inexperienced Drury team. Wiley Brown please take the USI job, Please!

Hansen and Dickson played an average of 30 min and had less than 10 points combined. Just not enough horses. The power forward position night was awful.

Comparing stats after the game...almost identical in every category.
They shot 2x the 3-ball that we did and that made all the difference in the score (12-26 vs 7-13). They also grabbed 29 rebounds over our 23. Aside from those two stat lines, it is almost dead even.

Overall not too bad of a game compared to recent play. Shooting was much improved. A few more rebounds and free throws would have made up the difference. I had originally thought that a loss today spelled disaster, but being that this was a close loss to a team ranked ahead of us, a lot of our NCAA chances are going to depend on if UIndy gets bounced right away. Truman is definitely trying to make their case and will have a good opportunity facing Drury next.

At this stage, I'd have to think that if UIndy loses and nobody upsets Ferris/Findlay/Bellarmine, then our chances of the 8 seed are still looking ok.

Part of that is because Drury has "bigs" that can move laterally. With Dickson and Rajala on the floor at the same time we are too slow. And Dickson doesn't even look to score. We will continue to be in chase mode unless we adjust our lineup.

It's funny you say that. I'm not just trying to hate on USI, not because I don't want to but because I recognize the "those who live in glass houses" principle is in full effect for KWC fans this year. But, I pulled up the video feed about 1/2 way through the first half and was kind of half-way watching it while working and the first thing I thought was "wow those guys are really moving on offense, Watson must have lit some kind of fire under them for this game somehow" ... then I realized that Drury was wearing white and what I initially took as black unis were actually USI's navy blue. So yeah, there is definitely a contrast in the motion between these teams.
