Note this guy says NOTHING about the D-3 G-MAC and its bad teams.

Wrapping up the weekend, here's the report. Notable news is that Findlay beat Ferris in OT, knocking them out of the frontrunner position. While having beaten 3 of the 5 worst teams (according to PI) on the road, USI seems to have taken over the top Midwest seed due to wins over KWC and Ashland, who have now exceeded the 75% threshhold.

I appreciate these rankings each time they come out and thanks for all the work that goes into them. Sometimes its kinda hard to wrap your head around them and I was wondering. SVS beat Bellarmine by 2 points essentially on their home floor. How would the rankings be changed if that game when the other way?

Good question - if that happened, I show that SVSU would drop to #55, 14.33. BU rises to #15, 16.29. Essentially, they trade positions in the Midwest.

schnautza, your work to compile this (which I'm sure you have it down to three clicks and a perfected science at this point), is greatly appreciated. One thread I definitely look forward to seeing bolded when I log onto the forum.

Thanks, I appreciate that. I've got it down to a pretty good form now, though there is always room for improvement. I still have to delete any non-d2 games. I could probably set it up to automatically filter them out, but every now and then there is a typo on my source and I'm afraid that a real team would get skipped over! It takes me about 5 minutes a day to do this now, once I get past each season's initial setup with transitioning teams.

Thanks. Is it cheating when I use your indicator when I am having a tough time with my weekly picks?.....LOL

I think I found a minor flaw in your system. There should be a 100 point deduction made when a team loses at home by double digits to a 1-9 NAIA D2 team. I wouldn't be surprised if there were 3 or 4 high school teams in the Evansville/Owensboro area that could beat Ohio Valley right now. USI is going to absolutely obliterate them this weekend.

And let me just say, maybe you could classify that comment as "trolling" OVU ... but to be perfectly honest, as diehard a KWC fan as I am, if they were 0-6 and just lost at home to that team by 17 points I would be just as hard (probably harder) on them.

KWC is the best high school in Owensboro, right? Your making fun of others schools?

Nope, I'm saying their basketball team is really bad, which is completely different than when you come in talking down about the schools, towns, and people. That's all I'm saying about the subject, I'm not allowing you to draw me into hijacking another good thread with your idiocy.

And again, it's you're not your.

Ohio Valley's PI is interesting, even though they have gotten creamed in every game, they are not that close to last in PI. They have played the toughest schedule in the region, bar none. Some of the good teams in the region obviously like scheduling them for an easy D2 win. I saw them play BU and frankly, they are the worst college basketball team I have seen in a long, long time. I think a guard for them had maybe the worst stat line I have ever seen in that game. He was 1 for 12 from the field and had 9 turnovers and played all 40 minutes. (Hey coach, could a sub really have done any worse?). They'll go anywhere and play anybody, so I have to give them some credit.

Remember last season when USI tucked their tails and ran out of Louisville with a 1 point win over OVU? "Quick, let's get on the bus and get out of here!"
