My take on the 8 teams making the post-season is:

1) Lewis (unless Bellarmine wins the GLVC).

2) Bellarmine (if they lose the GLVC title Game) / Lewis (if Bellarmine wins the GLVS title)

3) Findlay

4) Southern Indiana

5) Ashland

6) Drury (unless they win the GLVC, if they win the GLVS they may jump Ashland)

7) Walsh

8) GVSU

Lewis is #1 seed..they beat both USI and BU twice....it is a lock

Agreed. The committee has historically proven unwilling to make significant changes to the rankings due to conference tournament results, except for the obvious insertion of the odd surprise tournament winner.

I'd call elevating Bellarmine over Lewis a significant change. They won't do that.

1. Lewis (21-4) - Won on neutral court against Truman (72-55). Next game neutral vs #10 Drury.
2. Bellarmine (22-4) - won in OT on neutral court against Rockhurst (75-64). Next game neutral vs #4 USI
3. Findlay (24-3) - won at home against Alderson Broaddus (88-62). Next game home against Cedarville.
3. Southern Indiana (20-7) - won on neutral court against UMSL (87-61), next game neutral vs #2 Bellarmine
5. Ashland (18-6) - Lost at home to Grand Valley State (61-72)
6. Indianapolis (16-9) - Lost on neutral court to #10 Drury (65-71)
7. Ferris State (16-12) - Lost at home to #8 Northern Michigan (73-89)
8. Northern Michigan (17-11) - Won on the road at #7 Ferris State (89-73), Next game on road at Davenport
9. Hillsdale (18-9) - Won at home against Lake Erie (60-59), next game neutral vs Walsh
10. Drury (16-10) - Won on neutral court against #6 UIndy (71-65). Next game neutral vs #1 Lewis.

Grand Valley and Walsh taking the auto-bids throws a bit of a wrench in for anyone that wasn't ranked at least 6th already. I'd lay money on these 8, with the biggest question being the order of #6-8

1. Lewis
2. Bellarmine
3. USI
4. Findlay
5. Ashland
6. Indy
7. Walsh
8. Grand Valley

With Indy being 6th in the last ranking, the committee isn't going to drop them out in favor of Drury or N Mich. I think if Drury or N Mich had won their tourney they probably would have jumped ahead of Indy, but since they were 6th, and 2 unranked teams are adding in, Indy will end up staying 6th.

Kdub, bingo...tourney results only matter due to bid stealers, but will not matter to top 5-6 teams

Yes and isn't kdub contradicting the theory that conference tourneys aren't a factor by putting USI ahead of UF?
