Tremendous game last night in Utah, Dixie State defeats Cal Baptist 68-65 in overtime.

So impressed with Dixie's support as 4,110 showed up last night, many D-1 teams would be jealous of that number. Dixie's hasn't had a home game under 1,000 fans this year, very nice.

Wondering if Mormon culture has something to do with it? Mormon churches often have basketball courts and they have LDS leagues. Prep hoops is pretty big in Utah, too. Those could be reasons, or maybe St. George and Dixie State have pride in their hometown school and the students think it's cool to go to games? That would be nice at my alma mater and other schools. WOU is No. 10 in the nation and No. 1 in the West and they pull 250-750 fans a game ... weak.
