The next round of the great rivalry is here! Same rivalry, new teams. Malik Montoya and Trevor Jasinsky are the only two returning starters from last year's games. CWU only has 4 returning active players while WWU only has 3. Both teams, however, have reloaded with what they do best: guards at CWU and forwards at WWU. I think the Wildcats have the advantage as long as they can limit turnovers to not give the Vikings any extra chances.

Sadly CWU's shooting went cold tonight. Boykin, Lucas, and Montoya never got it going tonight. I was glad to see CWU out-rebound WWU and limit the fouls. Just every time CWU tried to make a comeback, WWU seemed to drain a clutch 3.

Bummer, but the good thing is that there doesn't appear to be as much separation between the top teams this year and the bottom teams, hopefully meaning we'll have a lot of exciting games in the next months.
