Maybe, he's better off being a double figure scorer at Winthrop than a bench guy at Tech, IMO. He might be talented enough to play at Tech, but they're bringing in a lot of new players. Never give up on a good situation, no matter what your parents, handlers, buddies, or agents, are saying.Originally posted by CWU Wildcat Nation View PostBig 12 will be a good experience regardless of his role.

Thanks for the info, UAF's star-studded roster diminishing (where's Sparling's kid?). Not sure how good Gittens was, he hasn't been lights out at his many stops. UAF still has the top D2 player in America in Shabazz, however, that helps.Originally posted by Anchorage View PostAccording to verbal commits, Roberto Gittens has left UAF and entered the crowded Transfer Portal.

Former WOU player Etan Collins landed at Skagit Valley College, where he will play for the great Carl Howell and assistant coaches GE Coleman (former Hilo HC and CWU assistant) and Mark McLaughlin (former Hile assistant and CWU star). Collins played at Tallahassee CC last season as a redshirt sophomore, but can play juco at SVC since he gets that extra year of eligibility. Looks like SVC has a pretty good recruiting class:

Etan is a good guy. After starting and then redshirting at Western Oregon, he really needed to get on the court since the Wolves did not have a season last year and he got that year of JC ball in. I thought he would transfer out to a four-year school but since he has that extra year he might as well use it in Junior College. I was trying to figure out how he could be in junior college his fourth year of school but it does work out.
