  • CWU Schedule Released, Hosts Lincoln on 10/29

CWU hoops schedule is out, and Gary Payton is coming to the Burg! Lincoln will play CWU on October 29, coached by the former Sonic! Exhibition at UW on November 4, then 2 games vs a pair of Cal State teams. They will play 2 games weekend after Thanksgiving vs Westminster and Fort Lewis. 3 games vs local small colleges during the December break. Great looking schedule!

That is a great schedule. Tourney at one of the nicest places in Cali and the west coast, Monteray, the Glove coming to E-burg, which is awesome; tourney in beautiful Vancouver, B.C. metro area. Excellent slate.

Late to the party in quoting you Wildcat Nation, but I'm disappointed in the schedule. We've got two Canadian teams in November that are basically non-counters, a regional D3 team in PLU and then two Christian Colleges during Christmas break. I'm hip with Jesus, but the Christian schools won't be challenging enough. Also, and this is a scheduling thing, not a choice of course, but we'll have the quietest gym ever for CWU/WWU since that's also during Christmas break. That "rivalry" has been disappointing lately. I'll be shocked if we have 1,000 fans there.

It would've been nice to see them play in one more holiday tournament against D2 teams.Or just a different one than the one at SFU in November. Interesting they are not playing in the annual SPU tournament this year. And yeah that WWU game really hurts. It will be like when CWU played at WWU at Whatcom CC when Carver was being renovated. Sucked the life out of the rivalry. Ever since the Dom Williams 3 pointer, the rivalry has gone downhill. Seems like the students nowadays dont understand the history of the rivalry.
