Is it the top 6 men's and women's teams qualifying for the GNAC tournament? If so, sounds reasonable.

Seems like there are 4 teams vying for the remaining 3 spots in the GNAC tournament:
          1. MSUB: currently 9 - 8 in conference, playing @ SPU on Saturday
          2. CWU: currently 8 - 8 in conference, hosting WWU and SFU this week
          3. UAF: currently 8 - 8 in conference, hosting SMU and WOU this week
          4. SPU: currently 8 - 9, hosting MSUB this week
Not sure if WWU is out of it, but they are sitting at 6 - 10, and playing at CWU and NNU this week. Will be interesting to see how things go on Thursday. I have no idea on tie breakers at this point...

Such a frustrating season for CWU, even worse that our archrivals WWU beat us twice this year. Last two years have been outstanding. GNAC tourney title in 2024. GNAC league title in 2025. Might not even make the GNAC tourney this year. Lost some real talent from last year's team, but it seems like this year's team had a ton of it.

That said, I see that Oregon State won't renew Tinkle's contract (or fired him or whatever), so I'm wondering if the rarely used Gavin Marrs (7-0 center) will jump ship and head back home to CWU to play with his true freshman brother (6-9 Garrett). CWU loses 7-2 Calvin Sisk to graduation after this season and 've only seen our 6-10 Westmoreland play probably 10 total minutes this year.

Older Marrs has been hurt nearly as entire career to Oregon state. I've gone to a bunch of games, he's always in street clothes. If I was him I'd see if he could continue that scholarship at OSU, get a degree from there and move on. I don't think his health will allow him to play a full season of collegiate basketball at any level. But you're right, playing with his brother would be cool.
