  • Men's GNAC hoops

Really good write-up in the GNAC website on men's games from last night. St Martin's hit a buzzer beater from way downtown to beat Alaska Anchorage, which is pretty amazing. They won their third regular season title I think in the last 5 Years, but have yet to win a league tournament title. That stat surprised me, but that's a great program.

Looking at the final standings the only thing that surprised me was MSU-Billing not making the top six. It's a pretty good team and they did get 20 wins but didn't have enough league victories. Pretty balanced league this year, some good stuff. I hope GNAC teams can make some noise in the regionals.

Fun ending to the St Martin’s and UAA game. Not much to take away from it as the seeds were locked by the time tip off happened and both teams rested guys and played their deep benches extended minutes. A couple starters on each side got back in the final few minutes as the coaches got competitive and tried to steal the victory.

Billings wins 20 games with Mason Lanndeck at his 5th(?) school and they going to lose their last five games to miss the tournament and end their season. That has to be pretty upsetting for them. And WWU beating Central twice was really the only highlight of their season, also missing the tournament that they are hosting.
