Seems like about 5-6k a home game is the norm. I was excited to see the numbers for the Valdosta State home game this coming year before all the covid stuff.

Before football, I would say baseball was the most popular sport at UWF. We won the National Championship in 2011 and the Argos usually make the playoffs.

I agree that UWF baseball drew the biggest crowds prior to football, but the tennis teams have the most titles by far compared to other UWF sports. The men have won 4 National NCAA team titles since 2004, the women have played in National NCAA team final twice since 2007, both have combined to win 32 GSC conference titles since joining GSC in early 1990’s and both have combined to win 12 singles and doubles National titles in NAIA and ITA including reining two time ITA national women’s singles champion Berta Bonardi who won in 2018 and 2019. The Argos also play in the toughest NCAA region in D2 that is top heavy with D2 tennis powerhouses.

The stadium was impressive for D2, so I'd kinda figured. That's cool though.

Have you been to a lot of D2 stadiums?

Off the top of my head, I've been to six.

No doubt about it. West Florida tennis and soccer are outstanding! Not to forget our softball team which at one point last year was #1 in the Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll and had 15 of the 16 first place votes missing out on being unanimous #1 by 1 voter.
