It appears we can add Talladega College to the class of 2023 applicants. They plan to add at least three new teams (football?) and re-join the SIAC.

Good for them! Gives their marching band an actual gameday to be involved in rather than traveling around to perform all the time.

So we have four applicants confirmed (Menlo, Roosevelt, Sul Ross State, Talladega)... the deadline has already passed but the committee report from last week hasn't been released yet and there's usually one or two that we first learn of from that. Menlo's report a few months ago indicated Jessup would apply and Vanguard might also, but there's been no word from either. It's been reported that Utica is not applying this year; nothing further has been said about Nichols.

Is there a link to the Utica report? Utica and Nichols College are most likely not going to apply until they find a D1 home for their men's ice hockey teams; the women's teams at both schools would fit in with the NEWHA.

While going through the Talladega .edu site I found a news article that indicates one of the new sports they are planning on adding is Men's Volleyball.

SIAC sponsor men's volleyball. If Talladega gets the green light to join D2 and the SIAC, they'd be the 6th school in the conference with men's volleyball.
