Interesting they mentioned that the university was selling players on the fact that they would be petitioning to join D2. Even if that was just empty promises (which honestly, they probably were), have they SEEN the state of D2 football on the West Coast? Travel wise and conference wise, they wouldn't be any better off than they are right now

I was hoping it was going to be legit. Not sure how long Central Washington and Western Oregon (only D2 West Schools) are going to keep up the pace with the Texas/New Mexico travel for the LSC.

I wouldn't be worried abot WO or Central Wash, but more worried about how much longer the LSC "needs" these schools. I can see in the near future that they get the same boot that Simon Fraiser did.

Agreed and definitely spot on. I think Simon Fraser would have went belly up if they stayed LSC or not.

Most of them probably know nothing of D2 football in the western US. That’s partly how they end up at a place like Lincoln.

Mercyhurst released their schedule today. They're keeping their Week 0 match at Wheeling, along with also picking up a Week 4 match vs. Frostburg State, who was originally supposed to play Robert Morris then

Guess they weren't tooo interested joining the D2 party of non conference games available.

Why in the world would a team only release their home games, and not release the whole schedule at once? Especially if all your away games are in-conference, because it's not like there'd be any uncertainty surrounding them.

New Mexico Highlands is on Eastern New Mexico and Western New Mexico's schedule so you can probably remove them from the original list.

Oopsie, only took them off the Week 2 openings, completely forgot they were doing a Week 0 and still had a Week 1 opening as well. Thanks for the correction!
