I don't see a player getting drafted this early but it could change. With the portal I would be hesitant to say who if I had a name in mind because they could leave before the season starts. I say that because 3 weeks ago I thought there was 1 who had a good shot but he transferred to a FBS school.

We are past the portal window and I have watched more players. Here is a list of players high on my radar for the 2026 NFL Draft, by school.
OT Nick Walker, Ashland
RB Jaylen Cottrell, Central Oklahoma
WR Flynn Schiele, Colorado Mines
WR Reggie Retzlaff, CSU Pueblo
DT Koffi Gbekle, Concordia-St. Paul
CB Shawn Collins, Emory & Henry
RB Jayden Farmer, Findlay
OT Brett Weaver, Grand Valley State
S Ty Dugger, Harding
WR Brevin Caldwell, Johnson C. Smith
OT Ryan Schernecke, Kutztown
OG Billy Everitt, Kutztown
WR DaShaun Ames, Minnesota Duluth
QB Jack Strand, MSU Moorhead
RB Ky'Ron Craggette, Seton Hill
OG Joe Cooper, Slippery Rock
RB Ronald Blackman, Tiffin
QB Alex Johnson, Tiffin
DE Khris Walton, Tiffin
RB Hunter Patterson, West Liberty
DE Ricky Freymond, Western Colorado
My early top 5:
1. DE Ricky Freymond, Western Colorado 7th-PFA
2. QB Jack Strand, MSU Moorhead PFA
3. RB Ronald Blackman, Tiffin PFA
4. OG Joe Cooper, Slippery Rock PFA
5. RB Hunter Patterson, West Liberty PFA
Ricky has some things to clean up but with his size he could really shoot up boards with big numbers and good testing in the postseason. Strand has to cut down on turnovers but he has the tools. He was a flash player that has to be consistent. Blackman is a do it all back who is under valued by people I have talked to and not sure why. Cooper is 6'6+ and over 330 pounds now. He lacks the length to play tackle so I think he will project to guard. Patterson is a fast back who can catch and run well. He has a shot to move up the board for sure.
