  • Division 2 Football Signing Day / University Updates

It really wasn't that long ago when colleges /universities proudly treated National Signing Day as a special event, and immediately posted their newly signed players with pride. They would offer follow-ups as additional players were announced.

Now, trying to get any information from some schools has become difficult to impossible on a timely manner. Has the sense of pride been overridden by a lack of staff, or just simple laziness? Very disappointing to see some schools no longer giving an effort.

The early signing period, along with the transfer portal, greatly overshadows national signing day.

You're right, but with Division 2 football it seems as though with a lot of schools, none are a priority anymore. Sadly, it waters down the overall perception of D2 compared to D1.

Harding proudly has postings of the new recruits and links to their bios. I am sure there are quite a few schools that still put forth the effort to highlight the work or their recruiting efforts.
