Geographically on the eastern edge of the GMAC, 2000+ enrollment, 80% from CINCY and Northern Kentucky. Currently list 15 men's and 13 women's sports. Despite a fall off in '19 &'20, the Saints seem to have a decent NAIA FB program averaging 7-3 the past 10 years.

They are taking a round-about path to D2. When they were getting ready to leave D3 everyone thought they were headed to D2 then but instead they go NAIA and now headed to D2.

I was concerned about the GMAC's future and am glad to read that they're adding another program.

What specifically were you concerned about prior to this addition?

It seems like the G-MAC has been steadily strengthening.

I remember reading posts in the past where some suggested that the GMAC might be in trouble.

Seems like a nice addition, and geographically it helps TNU and Kent. Wes.

Now they need an experienced D2 coach to lead them.

They've only been NAIA the last two years. Haven't set the world on fire, although in the tough Mid-South. Was Mid-South too tough??? Their facilities are not D2 level. Confused about their direction. 6-11 last two years in NAIA, plus pre-season picked 6th in the Bluegrass division.

Thanks for the correction, should have said "decent D3 program, having difficulty adjusting to NAIA".

Their path is definitely a bit confusing. I'm kind of guessing that they wanted to go D2 all along, but needed to put some distance between the D2 application and their D3 infractions. Hopefully their house is now in order. Honestly, their violation isn't one that shocks the conscience. An injured basketball player wanted to keep rehabbing at campus instead of going home for the summer. She stayed at a coaches house for a bit after the dorms closed.

I did see that they just re-turfed the football field and re-surfaced the surrounding track. I think the stadium will be fine.

Always better choices if you could just pick schools. Unfortunately, they have to agree that they want to join.
