If the season ended today, New Haven would not make the playoffs. They need to be in the top 9 for Earned Access to play a part. It's possible the non-conference game against Lincoln along with the St. Anselm loss are hurting the Chargers.

Clearly the loss to St Anslem is hurting the Chargers. Any D2 loss hurts any D2 team.
The game against Lincoln (CA) isn't hurting New Haven, but it sure isn't helping. It's a non-factor.
It could be argued (see InkBlot) that New Haven isn't currently 10 in SR1, but have been boosted there so that with a couple of more wins, the NE10 will get a playoff bid via earned access.

I have never liked the earned access method at all, never did and never will. Everyone plays the games on the schedule, but somehow a team will loose a well deserved spot in the post season to a team who does not just because people feel bad for this team? How ridiculous this sounds?
