What sucks is that because he was convicted of selling drugs he's ineligible for federal funds for school so if he were to get out in 8 months and want to revive his career he will be paying cash out of pocket which is something he probably wouldn't be able to afford anyways.

How about revive his life? His football career is over.

I had a buddy caught up in something similar sold to someone who got picked up by cops, they gave the kid a deal if he gave up the dealer my buddy got 5 years upstate and after 3 years he was released, he worked his butt off to pay for college out of pocket and is now a member of the labor union here in Philly making great money so there is life after a big screw up. Just depends on if he has truly learned from his mistake and how hard he's willing to clean up his reputation upon being released.

The willful ignorance regarding this is interesting. There's a few comments above that were made that imply sympathy for the fact that an adult made the decision to commit multiple crimes and had his rights taken away.. I don't know how else to explain it. I don't feel sorry for him and neither should anyone else.

Now that's something we can all get behind. Yeah the screw up sucks, but how you bounce back from it means everything.

Yet you can't cite even one. That's how else you can explain it.

Exactly how does that suck?! Plenty of ways to make money without selling drugs... He should worry about reviving his life...

Why are we talking about this guy? He needs to do his time then muster whatever he can for the rest of his life with a felony cocaine distribution conviction on his record.
