First I have heard it. Maybe they weren't buying into the new HC changes to offense and defense. They haven't been involved much in recruiting from what I can gather.

I saw the same exact statement on a Philadelphia sports twitter. I wonder who broke the story. Looking for something official soon.

This seems really strange to me. What happened?

Odd to see one let alone two contracts 'bought out' in the dismal economic climate in any of our programs. These also weren't grad coaches or some TEs coach ... high ranking spots in the pecking order.

I thought assistant coaches contracts ran year to year. Could their contracts be up in January and their was no buyout?

I thought assistant coaches contracts ran year to year. Could their contracts be up in January and their was no buyout?

They probably were given lump sum of what was remaining on their contract. Maybe to speed up their replacement? I did hear a totally unsubstantiated rumor that every school was going to have to cut down on assistant coaches. I don't think that's the case because we'd be seeing it everywhere.

Bloom also didn't renew the contract of OL coach Chesnick. Seems to me like Sheptock wants to bring in his own guys
