  • Your in-person 2024 college football schedule

It's time for my annual thread asking everyone which games people planned to attend this upcoming season across all college football divisions, obviously including Division II.

Here's my personal, planned schedule (all times Eastern):

    DEFINITE/LIKELY GAMES
09/07 (Sat): Temple at Navy, 3:30 PM
09/21 (Sat): Villanova at Maryland, time TBA
10/12 (Sat): East Stroudsburg at Bloomsburg, 2:00 PM
11/02 (Sat): Lehigh at Georgetown, 12:30 PM

    ONE OF THE FOLLOWING GAMES
10/19 (Sat): Tulsa at Temple, time TBA
10/26 (Sat): Temple at East Carolina, time TBA
11/16 (Sat): Florida Atlantic at Temple, time TBA

It is truly up in the air which of these three games I'll attend at this point but I do plan to go to one of them.

    OTHER POSSIBLE GAMES
09/21 (Sat): Penn at Delaware, 6:00 PM (this game becomes likely if Villanova/Maryland the same day is a 12 PM game)
10/12 (Sat): Georgetown at Lafayette, 12:30 PM (an unlikely but possible alternative to the East Stroudsburg/Bloomsburg game the same day)
10/19 (Sat): Columbia at Penn, 1:00 PM (possibility if Tulsa/Temple is a night game)
11/16 (Sat): Harvard at Penn, 1:00 PM (possibility if Florida Atlantic/Temple is a night game)
11/30 (Sat): North Texas at Temple, time TBA (depends on schedule of other sports events that day but right now looks unlikely)
12/14 (Sat): Navy vs Army (at Landover, MD), 3:00 PM (depends on college basketball schedule that day and whether I want to spend probably at least a couple hundred dollars for a ticket)

In addition to games listed above, select DI-AA/FCS and/or D2 playoff games involving teams I follow that take place near the DC area (on 11/23 or 12/7) or the Lehigh Valley (on 11/30) are also possibilities.

Finally, I plan to attend one Philadelphia Eagles NFL game for sure this fall (12/22 at Washington) and it is possible some of the Eagles' games in Philadelphia (12/8 vs Carolina is probably the most likely candidate) could be added depending on whether those games are televised in the DC area.

Hopefully the next game I see in person is more competitive than Navy's 38-11 demolition of Temple that I attended.

My dad and I usually go to one KU game a year. Two if it's a playoff game. Not sure what game yet but we're definitely going. A buddy and me are planning on seeing KU take on Ship so that'll be fun.
