Is it possible for Virginia State to sneak in if they beat VUU and win the CIAA championship game?

That would be the only way. If that happens, I think it would knock WSSU out, but only if that happens. Not being ranked is a bit of a stretch to over come.

Pulling out that "What if" mold, so what if Livingstone so how beat JCSU, VSU beat VUU, and WSSU beat FSU, how will things stack up for Championship game? Just wondering! I guess it would come down to head to head match ups!!!

We'd get a rematch of VUU v. VSU next week in the championship game as they'd both be 6-1 in conference play. JCSU and WSSU would be 5-2 sitting at home. Remember, there's no divisions this year and Union's loss to JCSU didn't count as a conference game.

The way I see it, in order for WSSU to stay in the top 7, they literally need to blow FSU off the field; all gas no break, plus hoping JCSU and VUU win,

Plus WSSU needs to be on the phone with an SIAC school, with a winning record that doesn't make their conference championship, to schedule a game next week to help our SOS in the event we beat FSU.

I just thought about this: If Miles wins the SIAC, WSSU would hope Carson-Newman loses, because Miles would get the Earned Access being the conference champ, bumping someone out.

Depends on who C-N loses to. If they lose to Tusculum, they likely drop off the face of the earth. Lose to Wingate in the SAC title game? Eh IDK. How much you going to punish a team for losing to a team they already beat once?

Personally, I don't think Miles will need the Earned Access if they win their next two games. They are about to get two nice SOS bumps by playing Tuskegee this week and the likely winner of the FVSU and Albany State game.

I've seen stranger things with the regional rankings, but unless hell freezes over and someone can sell an Alaskan huskie snow, Tusculum will not beat C-N LOL

A couple of things: Tusculum will be a boat anchor for C-N's SOS. C-N wont get penalized for losing to Wingate - it would just negate their win against them earlier this year.

Valdosta could be the one at risk since they play Delta and West Florida to finish the season.

You want VUU and JCSU to win because they both have the head to head over WSSU (and H2H matters for seeding)

Valdosta and W. Alabama still have to play each other and if WSSU beats FSU, they will get in because the two teams they lost to will be in regional playoffs.

West Alabama and Valdosta's game got cancelled by the hurricane and won't be made up.

So WSSU is a long shot because of the Miles factor, right?
