Not my top choice, but he should do well. He has coaching experience, he's from the area, so it will be good for recruiting local talent, Plus, he has the backing of the alumni base and that's what counts the most. He should be able to bring the excitement back into the program.

This is what the alums wanted, so I guess it's good we have an administration willing to listen to the alums. I don't doubt Woodbury's ability to recruit and inspire his players. Funding will be key, so it's now time for our alums to answer with donations.

Based on Coach Woodbury's experience with different teams, hopefully he will be willing to look at the best possible options which may mean bringing some diversity to the Winston Salem State University Football coaching staff.

Congrats to Tory Woodbury on being selected. I am waiting to see who he will keep from last staff, if any, as well as, who he will hire to join him. Personally, I would make a call to Carlos Fields for my DC or Barry Tripp. I am also interested if any players from Norfolk State or Howard will come. I am excited to see the next chapter in WSSU football. I wonder will any WSSU players in the portal will return and will some now decide to go. Recruiting will be interesting. Go Rams!!!

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over, and expecting a different results.

            Best of luck Coach Woodbury!

Glad someone else feels this way too.

I would also like to wish Coach Massey and his Family the very best moving forward.
