This is actually my #1 concern for the game. I don't mean that at all as disrespect to VSU. But, they're job gets much easier if Mines players keep coming out with cramps and needing fluids. I ran a marathon a number of years ago - while living in the south. It was a spring marathon which called for winter training - both cold and drier weather. Race day turned out to be 84 degrees and whatever humidity. After running a trial a month before at exactly 4:00, race day was 4:55 with the last 10 miles (10 fricken miles) of alternating walking / jogging because of cramps. You simply can't prep for humidity, and once you start cramping, you are essentially compromised for the rest of the game. Heat and humidity, especially at this time of year where it's gotten much colder around the country, is the biggest game changer there is. Meanwhile, VSU practices in it everyday, year round. They'll think an 80 degree game day is perfect.
My eyes will be on the sidelines starting in the 3rd quarter, watching who's not in when they should be or getting an IV. Home field matters.
