More wins, full stadium, national TV exposure(Basketball first, but money games in Football coming ....)

You meant FCS for football. In every other sport, D1 is D1, there is no differentiation. D1 football is the only sport that has D1 FBS and D1 FCS.
I think it’s a good move. It will benefit the university in the long run.

SORRY that changes everything. Few wins, No TV exposure, small crowds.

I am really slipping. When I was young I was often called a sarcastic SOB. Now that I am REALLY OLD, sadly,no one recognizes it.

I really do wish them all the luck. No matter how it turns out, there will be one person on the board on board with them. MR Misery Loves Company(unless they do better than his "dream" did.)
