I haven't really kept up closely with the Cavs this season. What do you think the strengths and weaknesses are for them?

Well, if you're going to be an offensive oriented program, you have to outscore people. They are not strong enough to play that way without a great defense.

Just what the SAC ordered up as far as replacing Brevard.

I've seen the Highlanders play twice. They are miles ahead of when Brevard was when it was a D2 program so Eagle74 'comment is irrelevant. In both contests their defense was pretty good at times, not consistent but hard nosed against the run and decent pass coverage. They have the resources to be a contender in the SAC but it will take time. A few years adjusting to the competition will make a huge difference. I think their coaching staff is very good. Their schemes and game plans are good but the talent level and lack of depth are holding them back.

Wise has a ways to go, the defense has been ok but we scored 60+ and could've scored 100 had we kept our foot down, you can't let anyone in the same conference do that to you and compete. Wise should improve over the next few years as they adjust to a new level of competition. I think we'll have a better idea of what they are 3-5 years in.
