  • Outstanding Pre-Season Article

Great job by SAC sports writer Chuck Bitner on his Division II pre-season article. One of the best articles I've read on D2football in a long time.

We've sure got a good one reporting on the SAC!

Well written review, and I love the optimism, but to realistically believe that we will see a single SAC game played this year is simply becoming a pipe dream. COVID-19 cases are going through the roof in most of the SAC's footprint. Based what I've seen at the beaches, lakes, and even protest with so many people (including a lot of college students) dismissing precautions, I have little doubt that there will be another surge of cases after July 4th. Based on everything going on, 2020 for the most part with a lot of sports will more than likely be written off. Who knows if it will carry over into 2021?

On a side note, looks like we may not see the Crimson Tide on the field for a long long time.

Thanks all. Glad a few folks read it. I'm trying to be optimistic, but it's definitely getting harder every day. As I said in the article, I can't see how sports would go on if students are not on campus and that is very questionable right now. And frankly, if schools can't fully re-open, I fear many of them will have problems that extend way beyond sports.
