Limestone at West Liberty: The Saints lost a lot last year, including their head coach but I can’t see them dropping this one to a MEC team that went 4-6 last year. Saints by 14.
West Virginia State at Barton: Losing Jordan Terrell is gigantic for the Bulldogs. It’s tough to see them improve off their typical .500 final record over the past few years. Another 4-6 MEC team playing a SAC opponent. Bulldogs in a close one by 6.

Saturday
St. Andrew's at Anderson: I really like Anderson’s program and I think they’ll be a force to be reckoned with down the road. Will be interested in the result, may be more interested in seeing the attendance figures (could be huge). Trojans by 10.
Bowie State at Lenoir-Rhyne: Not sure if LR still has any players from the 2021 playoff loss up in MD, but for alumni like me this is a revenge game. LR lost a handful of stars along with our HC, but we return several big play threats on offense and some solid returners and transfers on defense. LR will be fine here, reminds me of the FSU game last year. The bears by 21.
UVA Wise at ETSU: Paycheck game for the highland cavs. ETSU by 49.
Catawba at Davidson: Game of the weekend for me. The Catawba program is ascendant and playing as a 5 point dog against a non-scholarship FCS team. CatU will bring a good crowd 30 minutes down the road to davidson. This game will be a great barometer for the state of the Catawba program. For now I’ll take the cats by 4 but don’t be surprised to see the Indians win this one.
Valdosta State at Newberry: Sammy Edwards is really good and has a chip on his shoulder. This could get ugly in the graveyard. Blazers by 28.
Tusculum at West Alabama: it’s always so difficult to judge the Pioneers. I suppose UWA by 3?

WVSU wins over Barton. Blocked punt got them back into the game late but Felder from WVSU shredded the defense all night.
