Paine College leaving SIAC, NCAA

There will be no Paine moving forward in the SIAC.

Paine College announced on Wednesday that it has been approved for membership in the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA). That will end its tenure as a member of the NCAA Division II SIAC.

This is the first announcement on the topic that either they or the SIAC have made, but they haven't been a member of the NCAA or SIAC since they lost accreditation last summer.

IMO, I read up on Paine not too long ago and the NCCAA would be a much better fit until they can figure some things out as an institution. I hate to see teams leave D2, but they need to get their ducks in a row before competing at this level.
