Depends where Western Colorado is ranked, if they’re 7 or 8, that will be true. If they’re 1-6, it will be hard to be eliminated.

Inkblot mention on the D2 show that Western Colorado will overtake UTPB with a win and its pretty much a pick em with Pitt State if they lose.

Western Colorado wins, they jump UTPB, otherwise UTPB is headed to Harding (I hope)

Nope. If UTPB gets in, they’ll take a long bus ride to Pueblo. Pitt’s going to Harding. Chadron to NWMSU and Western Oregon to CWU. No flights in SR4 Round 1.

That's not what I want. I want to see Harding rush for 800 yards for UTPB

Are you sure? According to LSC stats UTPB has #1 defense in the conference. They still give up 297 yards a game, which is pretty high. I can’t believe that’s the best defense in the LSC.

How is Northeastern State even in the discussion in the first place?

UTPB can't stop the run. Would be interesting to see Harding can do running the ball against UTPB.

I’ve been wondering the same thing. I guess it’s because they are the only D2 independent with only 2 losses and a strong SOS. Come to think of it — NE is currently the only D2 football independent.

They are 11th in the rankings and could have improved their position if there were multiple upsets which almost happened.

They have roads wins at Saginaw (Beat Grand Valley and took Ferris State to overtime), Central Oklahoma (Beat Pitt State), and if they beat West Alabama this weekend on the road.

The bottom tier playoff hopefuls dont have that on the resumes.

They had a narrow 7 point home loss to West Florida at home.

If they held on and Beat Missouri S&T at home then this might have been a different conversation.

It would have also been easy to move them around for bus rides to most teams if they were to win playoff games.

Hopefully they improve to at least 9 D2 games next year.
