Lakers Take on Delta State

Lakers head south to Cleveland Mississippi to take on the Statesmen, AKA, the Fighting Okra. Thankfully, the weather doesn't sound like its going to be too bad down there for Saturday, a high of 84, and kickoff is at 7 EDT, so it shouldn't be too warm or humid during the game. Only kicker is that they're calling for a lot of thunderstorms down there during that time right now. Hopefully they'll be able to get the game in.

If it ends up being played in a storm and becomes one-dimensional, who knows. I would like to think GV would have an advantage, but Moss seems to be more of a shifty runner rather than a downhill-type guy you would want in slick conditions. Who knows, though!

looks like a wet sticky night of football - anything can happen - we will be watching and see what happens - running game will be huge - Delta always has some thick d-tackles that plug the middle - o-line will be crucial tonight

now saying the kickoff will be 7:35 = rain coming in but the lightning and wind seems to be gone - who knows

yep - their 320 lb nose tackle is back (they run a 3 man front on D) so that will be something different for our new center to deal with
