He has at least two public offers plus "significant interest" from about a third of the FBS, if none of them beat what ferris can offer I'd be shocked.

Hopefully, they find a good NIL deal, and the thought of a back-to-back championship is enough to keep him. If not, next man up.

I saw this too. Bummed to lose him, as he was explosive to watch on the field. I am curious if he will get a good enough offer to leave, as it looks like he is staying at Ferris for the spring semester and still working out with the team.

The Special Teams were coached by Robinson the last two years (as well as DB's). Someone at WSU should look at the level of play from those two units.

There's a little more clarity in Wayne State's coaching room now.

No OC has been named yet. O-Line coach Rosco Byrd has been listed as the run-game coordinator since last year. WSU hires Jimmy Hill, himself an alum, away from DU to fill the WR coach and pass-game coordinator role. I'll be curious to see if a "pure" OC is named or if Wheatley will be calling the plays.

DC role is a promotion from within to Antwon Robinson, another alum. My understanding is he was well-liked during his 2023 offseason role as interim HC. LB and STC is now filled by Ahmed Saleh. Looks like he's bounced around all sorts of different coaching gigs. Fun fact is he's Robert Saleh's cousin.

Ferris State O line-Run game coordinator coach Sam Parker to Mississippi Valley State. Thats a big loss I would think. I am sure Ferris was upfront with their recruits, these things happen at every level. Good luck coach Parker.

I don't know if this is already somewhere on the string but, CSU Pueblo picked up Adam Saleh from Northern Michigan out of the transfer portal. Saleh, a 6-3, 200 DB, who recorded 56 tackles, 40 of them solo, placed him near the top of the GLIAC at his position this past season. He has 2-3 years eligibility remaining.

Also, don't think I posted it before, but SVSU's Terrance Brown is also in the transfer portal. Not clear if he even has any offers, though. If he does, he hasn't posted them on Twitter. That's surprising to me if true. He feels like he could be a G5 FBS guy, IMO.

That's a big point. I'm pushing 30, but didn't grow up in a UofM household. I had no clue who he was until WSU hired him.

I think the hope was that the Deion effect would be directed at coaches in the state and to parents. Wayne State does host a massive camp now that I don't remember them having before. But name recognition can only take him so far if his ability and the results aren't there.

They had that MegaCamp before Wheatley. I'm not sure how many years before though.
