Apparently he left to take an assistant job at UCLA. Quite the upgrade, but very unfortunate timing.

In the transfer portal era, it’s hard to take any preseason poll seriously without *really* having dived in deep on each team.

Truman brings back a lot but features a new QB, a new HC, new OC and new DC. Only the OC wasn’t part of the program last year, but still, hard to make that much transition and not drop at all.

I’d like to say that’s too low, but you and I both know this history of the Peacocks. Until we have an established quality quarterback, Peacocks could win 5 games or none. The conference change has, in the short term, not improved our football team.

I'll be interested to see after this year and probably next as well if UIU sees much difference between the overall strength of the league as far as difficulty of the teams and stability of the schools it has surrounded itself with.

UIndy mainly set on skill positions and some athletic young OLs so our new OC should light up the scoreboard every game win or lose. Lost our two good DLs to D1s so our new Co-DCs have their hands full.

Similarly, in the MIAA, Emporia and Washburn moved their rivalry game to week 0. Strange choice, imo.
