Mules put a whoopin on the Grifs. Game was never in doubt after the Mules went up 14-0. Mules limited Mo west to 24 plays in the first half while they ran 55. it was really really hot out there today and the Mules offense left some points on the board. Hunt can really wing it but is really no threat to run. He did move well in the pocket but he is more apt to throw it than run. Bradley on the other hand, is run first.
Mules defense was dominate today. Gave up just over 200 yards to the Grifs with a ton of underclassmen playing. Time to head to Topeka to take on the Ichies next week. Ichies better bring some offense because even without Bolles, the Mules are going to put up some points. If the defense can continue to play like they have, the Mules will really be a tough out for anyone. Take away the two really short fields (one today of 9 yards and the debacle in Hays for 4 yards) and the Mules have given up only 30 points all year.

Reason: only gave up 10 pts in second game
Both Wilkerson and Turner were injured. Will have to see what Boda says about that in the radio show
Saw both walking during the hand shake line. Koby didn't seem to be hobbling and Turner had ice on his ankle but walking. both good signs IMO. 'Boda said nothing about it post game. Ryan Devore, #19, was helped off towards the end of the first half and it did not look good, knee. Coach Bell said Trevor Sanders was leg whipped and was hobbling. Said he would be spending his weekend in the training room. Hope he was kidding as we do not need to lose him at corner.
